This website provides a calculator and educational content about options. It is not financial, investment, trading or tax advice, it is not a recommendation to buy or sell any security or contract, and it is not an offer or solicitation of any kind. Nothing here is personalised to your circumstances. Decisions you make with your money remain entirely your own.
No guarantee of accuracy
The calculator applies standard expiration payoff formulas and is tested, but no guarantee is given that every result is free of error. Results are estimates of the value of an option contract at expiration only. They deliberately exclude time value, implied volatility, interest rates, dividends, early exercise, assignment, taxes and any broker charge you do not enter yourself. Real trading outcomes will differ. Always verify figures with your broker before acting on them.
Risk warning
Options trading carries a high risk of loss. A bought option can expire completely worthless, losing 100% of the premium paid. A sold option can lose considerably more than the premium received, and a naked short call has theoretically unlimited risk. Never trade with money you cannot afford to lose.
